Worship

It’s Friday! Welcome.

I’m prepping my mind for another Friday of 5 Minute Friday, except this time I’ll follow the rules. :)

The writing topic is: Dance.

My timer is set.

Five Minute Friday: Worship by Dana Pittman

My head sways back. Eyes closed. I listen to the sound of the piano as it chimes the same melody.

The melody helps the other instruments keep the tempo then an electric guitar takes the melody and the lyrics wash over me.

My mind travels to a place where I feel safe. I feel warm. I feel free.

My head begins to nod side to side as the drums roll in.

Again the lyrics transport me to a place of love. A place of worship.

The song moves again to the chorus and the tempo slightly increases, the volume too.

My hands slowly raise in response, not to the music, but to His presence.

In worship.

Question: How does music make you feel?

What a lovely description. Sometimes we tend to surround ourselves with worship music while working on daily tasks, that it ends up becoming background noise, or we just hum and sing as we go along. Nothing like feeling His touch when we really stop and give our all! Have a blessed weekend!
