It is Day 31!!!
My Ultimate Takeaway…
I am empowered to control my thoughts. Therefore, my feelings cannot keep me captive, which means I always have the ability to make a God-honoring decision.
That is it, for now.
I did not write a full post for a full month. I am still writing other entries to 31 complete entries. For now, if you missed any of the entries view the entire month HERE.

There is something about big goals. They excite you. You feel pumped. You feel like your time has finally arrived.
They excite you.
You feel pumped.
You feel like your time has finally arrived.
But in the midst of it all you will struggle.
God is in the details.
As I write through this series, I am reminded repeatedly that God is in the details.
Think about creation.
What a week!
It has been difficult writing, posting and studying. I am determined to post daily until the 31st. Please bare with me as I share other encouraging content. I will continue to aim towards our thinking.
Today is a review day before our makeup weekend. Fortunately, this week has been light. It won’t take you long.
Where is the time going?! I feel like deadlines and writing have me losing track of time. Today I am going to write for just one verse and I’ll write about the other tomorrow.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 ESV
Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 AMP
This week I hope to get into thoughts we can carry around with us. A week full of “Put It In Your Pocket” statements.
“that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’”
Acts 17:27-28 ESV
Here we go…
We are nearing the close of our second week. And almost halfway through this month. I pray this is a blessing to you all.
Today is our Week 2 review. All of the references are linked. As a reminder, this is now catchup time for those of you you don’t have much time to read during the week.
Am I the only one walking around talking to myself? I am repeating the Put It In Your Pocket statements, reminding myself that I am empowered and I am forgiven—when my thoughts gravitate towards unrighteous thinking.
Today, I’m trying to hit this one out of the park. Short and sweet. 🙂 Especially after yesterday’s lengthy post.
But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature]. For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].
1 Corinthians 2:15-16 AMP
You have the mind of Christ. Yes YOU, if you are a spiritual man (or woman). And today I’m using the Amplified mostly because it speaks plain on this matter.
It was a long day. And hard to sit at my computer for today’s post. Therefore, my formatting may be a little different but my heart for today’s post is 100% here.
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
Matthew 7:1-5 ESV
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
James 1:13-15 ESV
The log in my eye hinders my perspective and places distance between God and I.
We are always thinking something. …always.
It can be a passing thought, a memory, a reaction. Our minds are running like a computer that never turns off…even when we sleep.
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness,
2 Peter 1:5–6 ESV
As I consider this topic I “see” a path—think, believe, act. What we think about for long enough is the seed for what we believe and our actions are the fruit. Therefore our thoughts are the roots to the harvest we experience in our lives.
