My Heart to His
I was raised partially by my grandmother. She was a woman of God that could pray you through anything. As I grew up I wondered how…
How did she pray for hours?
How she managed to prioritize her prayer life?
How her prayer life was so effective?
I do not have all the answers to my questions. However, my quest to find my way closer to God in prayer has led me down the road less traveled. Yet I still find myself in the same position, in direct communication with God.
One way that I increased my prayer time is through crocheting prayer shawls. Here are a few pictures:
During my quiet time I pray and crochet. (smile) Over the years I have taught classes and workshops about growing through using handcrafts.
Along with this wonderful practice I journal my prayers and the prayers of others. Which led to me designing a prayer journal with some of my personal templates and plenty of space to capture your prayers.
Question: Do you journal your prayers? If so, how does it help? If not, would you consider trying it?
